RUSA Award Nomination Period Ends December 15

There’s still time to submit your nominations for RUSA’s 2013 awards! We have a multitude of travel grants, research grants and achievement awards available to you. Many offer cash prizes! Especially noteworthy are two new awards this year:the Gale Cengage History Research and Innovation Award encourages submissions from MLS degreed librarians looking to further research relating to history and history librarianship, and the BRASS Business Expert Press Award for Academic Business Librarians, which recognizes a librarian new to the field of academic business librarianship to attend the ALA Annual Conference. It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Your expert readers advisory and collection development colleagues have been hard at work for the past twelve months, devouring newly-published books and scrutinizing new reference publications to determine who will take home the honors at Midwinter. RUSA Membership Social: Time for Friends, New and Old

The Membership Social returns for another year of outstanding Saturday night fun at Midwinter! We encourage you to bring a friend, even if they’re not a RUSA member. The Membership Social will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the Leonesa Room in the Grand Hyatt Seattle.
