BRASS Gale Cengage Learning Student Travel Award Committee

The 2013 BRASS Gale Cengage Learning Student Travel Award is now accepting applications.

Established in 1992 and sponsored by Gale Cengage Learning, this $1,000 monetary prize is awarded to a student enrolled in an ALA accredited masterís degree program to fund travel to and attendance at the 2013 ALA Annual Conference in Chicago and a one-year membership in RUSAís BRASS. Applicants should have a demonstrated interest in a career as a business reference librarian, and the potential to be a leader in the profession as demonstrated by activities that may include (but are not limited to) coursework, internships, jobs, special projects, and publications.

The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2013. Information about the award, including a PDF of the nomination form, can be found on the RUSA website. As explained in the nomination form, the application should include letters of reference, and a library school transcript.
